Tommy Mottola has expressed interest in working on Jessica Sanchez’s debut album as tweeted by Mexican singer Thalia.

Talking about a great career. Phillip Phillips may have won “American Idol” over Jessica Sanchez, but the Mexican/Filipino singer will be working on her first album. Regardless of whether she wins or not  on “American Idol,” record label exec Tommy Mottola has expressed interest in working on Jessica Sanchez’s debut album as tweeted by Mexican superstar actress/singer Thalia, Mottola’s wife.

Thalía posted on her account……  “WOWgreat news! TommyMottola just call me from AmericanIdol & he is confirm to work in the first JessicaSanchez CD! Go! MexicanFilipinoPower !!

Tommy is widely known for signing, developing, and nurturing the careers of Celine Dion, Destiny’s Child Shakira, Gloria Estefan, the Dixie Chicks, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.

He is likewise credited for spearheading what is called  the “Latin Explosion” in popular music,  by championing such artists as Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony and Ricky Martin. In 1991, he also worked with Michael Jackson from the time he began recording his “Dangerous” album.

In what seemed like praise for Jessica’s performances, Thalia posted a couple of minutes later “#JessicaSanchez canto la cancion q bailamos en mi boda! “The pray” Lo Maximo!  /#Jessica Sanchez killed it! What a voice! she is only 16!”

Tommy also expressed his desire to see Jessica’s first concert. After hearing Jessica sing ” And I Am Telling You”, he called Jimmy personally. It is widely known that Mariah Carey’s career was started by Tommy when he  heard Carey’s demo tape in his car. He realized she was so good that he turned his car around and drove back to the party to find her. And the rest is history. Keep in mind that Tommy knows talent better than anyone. Do you guys realize how big a deal that is….. for Jessica?

Yes, this is a big deal.  For Jessica Sanchez, to even mention the name of Tommy Mottola is a huge compliment. A giant in the music industry interested with a 16 years old girl from Chula Vista is such an honor. And do you know what this means? She’ll soon be in the prestigious list of talents mentored, nurtured and developed by Tommy. In no time, she will be soon be the diva we envisioned her to be..

* No matter what recording deal Sanchez is offered, she already has heavyweight Hollywood representation. In March, a judge approved a deal in which she will be represented by Creative Artists Agency for future television, personal appearance and other employment deals.

* Jessica admitted that she never heard anything from the group of Tommy Mottolla about the recording contract.

Congratulation Philip Philips!

It was a “battle of the opposites” on the pre-finale of the 11th season of the  “American Idol”.  A 16-year-old girl from the West Coast, who was eliminated and saved by the judges or her opponent,  a 21-year-old guy from the East Coast. A power vocalist against a rock musician. Who do you think will win?

Jessica’s fans and supporters still praying and hoping that she will grab the title of the first Filipino-American Idol dominated by the white guys with guitars. (known as WGWG’s) If she wins the season, it would mark the first time a female contestant has won “American Idol” since Jordin Sparks captured the title in 2007.

Jessica impressed them by belting out the ballad “I Have Nothing,” ” The Prayer ” and “Change Nothing”.

After much anticipation and a record setting 132 million votes from viewers, Phillip Phillips was finally announced the season 11 winner of “American Idol.” (What else, another white guy with a guitar for the fifth time in a row). So this is it —- Philip Phillips was crowned this year’s winner of “American Idol,” beating out Jessica Sanchez.

Phillips, 21, a pawn shop worker from Leesburg, Ga., looked stunned after host Ryan Seacrest announced his name, then wordlessly accepted a hug from Jessica and congratulations from his fellow finalists.

A special 2-hour event which feature performances from Rihanna, Jordin Sparks, Neil Diamond, Reba McEntire, Chaka Khan and John Fogarty. “American Idol” judges Steven Tyler, with his band Aerosmith,  Jennifer Lopez also performed and  tributes to recently deceased singers Donna Summer, a 1970s disco queen and former guest performer on “American Idol”, and Robin Gibb, a member of the 1970s disco trio The Bee Gees.

The past Idol finalists were also given a chance to sing with their favorite idols . The girl’s finalists performed with Chaka Khan while the boys performed with Neil Diamond. Joshua Ledet  performed a duet with the past American Idol winner, Fantasia. (both screamers….lol!) Skylar Laine with her idol country singer, Reba McEntire. Hollie Cavanagh shared the stage with Jordin Sparks.(wow! such an honor!)

Besides music, there was a marriage proposal for the season 11 finale: former contestants Ace Young , a season 5 finalist, and Diana DeGarmo,  a runner-up in season 3, got engaged on stage.

The highlight of the show, Jessica Sanchez performed a breathtaking  power ballad of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” with Jennifer Holliday.

Philip performed the song of Neil Diamond and he sing a duet with John Fogerty of the C.C.R.’s

Both Jessica and Philip and their respective mentors each will get their new 2013 Ford Fusion car.

Before announcing the winner, Jessica and Philip performed a duet of “Up Where We Belong” by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes.

Ryan announces … the winner is ….. PHILLIP PHILLIPS! Ryan gives him a guitar. Another male singer-songwriter is crowned. That’s five guys in a row! Which begs the question: was Jessica robbed?

Last year’s winner was Scotty McCreery, preceded by Lee DeWyze, Kris Allen and David Cook. All white dudes with guitars.

Recap – Top 2 ” The Finale Night ” Performance

LET’S HOPE FOR THE BEST…PRAY HARD!

JESSICA FOR THE WIN!!

This is it! The finale is here…tomorrow night we will find out who will be the next American Idol. Live at the Nokia Theatre L.A. TuesdayMay 22,  as Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips battled it out for the title.   Tonight, Jessica and Phillip sang three songs each: One selected by “Idol” mastermind Simon Fuller, one reprise of a memorable Season 11 performance, and one “winning song”.

ROUND ONE – FULLER’S PICKS

Jessica took the stage first, performing the Whitney Houston classic, “I Have Nothing.” It was a somewhat predictable song choice for Jessica, but she did put herself on the “Idol” map with a Whitney cover, so I guess Fuller didn’t want to mess with the formula now. Jessica sold the song (a bit of her growly alter ego, Bebe Chez, came out to play), and she sounded flawless, of course. And she looked flawless as well.  I was amused by how she was all dolled up like she was headed to the Oscars, and Phillip was wearing rumpled, fresh-off-the-bedroom-floor everyman-wear, like he was headed to work at his pawn shop.)  Then, Phillip performed the Benny King classic “Stand By Me”   Randy Jackson declared that Jessica won round one.

ROUND TWO – CONTESTANTS’ PICKS

For her second number, Jessica sang “The Prayer,” a song she performed earlier in the Top 24 competition. –an interesting choice, since her signature songs on this show, in my opinion, were “I Will Always Love You” and “And I Am Telling You.”– once again, I couldn’t find a single fault with her lovely voice….it’s flawless!  Then Phillip returned, and his reprise choice was “Movin Out” by Billy Joel. The judges were mixed in their round two verdict. Steven called it for Jessica, Randy choose both and Jennifer goes to her crush Philip. (What do you expect?)

And so…it all came down to their original songs…..

ROUND THREE– WINNING  SONGS

The song that Jessica will release as her debut single, if she wins this week, is “Change Nothing”– she did it with grace.  “You brought the song to life, but I thought the song was just okay,” said Randy. “I just didn’t think that song was the proper song for you to sing,” shrugged Steven. Even Jennifer agreed that it was the wrong, soulless song for Jessica–which of course, was not Jessica’s fault. Phillip closed the show with his original tune, “Home,”

Who wins this week surely the person that has massive votes but sure marketable. For me it’s  Jessica Sanchez …. leading last  week’s poll is the top spot’s regular finalist, Jessica – she got the 59% of the vote. (Source: American Idol.Net) Jessica has lots of US-based fans. She puts effort in mobilizing her attachments to filipino and mexican communities in the States. As you know, Minorities in the States is not small anymore  as they comprises some portions of the whole American population.  If she didn’t then she wouldn’t be in the Top 2. But despite being as American born as her competitors, Jessica has picked up a dedicated international support here which is great for her.

Next up we’ve got Phillip Phillips with 26% of the vote. With Philip, he simply puts sugar in his smiles but distracting male audience as he shows unusual gestures, gestures that reminds everyone of their facial reaction when they are in the restroom…And sorry guys! i really don’t like the way he sing, he always look like he’s having a big constipation with those unexplainable facial expression of his….. i can’t take it.  I don’t want to watch a concert of my idol looking like that! >>>>>>>

I think what killed Joshua Ladet is his lack of charisma to female audience, he simply deploys powerful vocals yet being attractive to girls seems not his agenda.

American Idol‘s Scotty McCreery will return the the stage on Tuesday and Wednesday for Season 11′s grand finale. On Tuesday, May 22, 2012, McCreery will  perform “Please Remember Me”, the song he recorded as this season’s “goodbye song” that was played after a contestant was eliminated and video highlights of the contestant’s experiences on Idol were shown. On Wednesday, May 23, he will help “celebrate the winner of season 11.” Since winning Season Ten of American Idol in May 2011, he hasquickly emerged as one of the most successful country stars of the lastyear. He won New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April, the same award he received at the American Country Awards in December.

Now what comes next after American Idol…… As you know the making of an american Idol is not actually the biggest achievement a person will have but living as such and generating revenue as an Idol what makes a true idol…
