Following in the tradition of past American Idols, the Season 11 Top 3 singers are heading home this weekend for a hero’s welcome. Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, and Jessica Sanchez made the cut last night on American Idol 2012 and now they’ll reap the rewards for a hometown extravaganza on Saturday. Joshua Ledet will travel to Westlake, LA and  Phillip Phillips will heads back to Leesburg, GA.

Jessica Sanchez doesn’t have  to travel far when she return to Chula Vista  for her own hometown adventures. The City of Chula Vista will welcome home 16-year-old singing sensation and hometown resident, Jessica Sanchez on Saturday, May 12 with a celebration featuring a procession, rally and mini concert. The homecoming will be filmed by American Idol camera crews and will air next week on the Fox Network.

Location: Eastlake High School

Chula Vista, CA 91915

The Chula Vista homecoming will begin with a brief parade begins at 10:15AM and will travel down Eastlake Parkway to the Eastlake High School. Attendees should arrive from the south, using Olympic Parkway, or from the east, using Clubhouse Drive to Eastlake Parkway.  Eastlake Parkway will be closed to traffic, from Clubhouse Drive to Otay Lakes Road, from approximately 8:30am until noon, in order to permit safe viewing of the parade.

Jessica will perform 3 songs for the fans at 11:30AM with seating capacity of 6,000 provided,  first-come, first-serve starting after the parade at the Eastlake school stadium.

Jessica Sanchez’s Homecoming at the USS Midway Museum!

Celebration will be on the flight deck of the USS Midway Museum at downtown’s Broadway Pier. The homecoming celebration on the USS Midway is free, but only those boarding between 1 and 2:30pm. Admission is limited to the first 3,500 people, so it is advisable to line up before 1pm. Public parking is available nearby, but is expected to fill up quickly.
